In collaboration with the European Union, the local organization Popcorn Club, under the leadership of Freddy Tromp, continues to create unique opportunities for the personal and creative development of Aruban youth.

Popcorn Club, founded in 1989, has as its mission to guide and strengthen young people through educational, creative, and social activities. Since 2019, the organization has strengthened its impact thanks to participation in various projects supported by the European Union.

Through this collaboration, Popcorn Club facilitates international exchanges, sending Aruban youth abroad for overseas experiences, while also welcoming volunteers and participants from Europe to Aruba.

One of the main initiatives is the creative camp project, where art and culture are used as tools for development. During these programs, young people participate in workshops such as music production, audiovisual creation, documentary production, and other creative disciplines, while developing personal and social skills.

European volunteers actively contribute to the process by sharing knowledge in areas such as project organization, documentation, and creative training. Support from the European Union covers, among other things, transportation and basic expenses, making international participation more accessible.

According to Freddy Tromp, this collaboration has opened doors to many opportunities for local youth, allowing them not only to gain international experience but also to share Aruban culture with other countries.

A notable aspect is that Popcorn Club has maintained its principle of accessibility: all activities remain free for young participants, allowing broad participation without financial barriers.

With more than 30 years of experience, the organization continues to evolve and expand its impact, positioning youth at the center of community development and international collaboration.
