Prime Minister Mike Eman received Aruban Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) athlete Mayvir “Aruban Earthquake” Orman, in connection with his upcoming international participation in Asuncion, Paraguay. Mayvir is currently the SFC International Heavyweight Champion and is preparing for a new challenge. On September 19, 2026, he will step into the ring as the Main Event of the South American Fighting Championship (SFC), where he will fight a professional athlete from Argentina for the SFC International Light Heavyweight Championship title in the 93-kilo category. Prior to the competition, Mayvir will leave Aruba on August 9 for an intensive training camp at Exile Combat Studio in Bogota, Colombia.
After his meeting with the Prime Minister, Mayvir expressed that he is very happy with the words of motivation he received. “They gave me words of motivation, and I will bring the belt to Aruba. With great honor I will represent Aruba and I will bring the belt as well.”
Mayvir, who currently competes in heavyweight around 101 kilos, explained that this new challenge gives him the opportunity to pursue a second international title, this time in light heavyweight. “I am already a heavyweight champion, and now I am going for the light heavyweight title.” The Aruban athlete also expressed his pride in being able to represent Aruba on a major international platform. According to Mayvir, the event is a collaboration between SFC and WKN (World Kickboxing Network), and his fight against the representative from Argentina will be the night’s Main Event. “Aruba will have quite a large platform, and I will be the Main Event of the night against Argentina.”
Prime Minister Mike Eman wished Mayvir every success during his preparation in Colombia and his fight in Paraguay, and expressed his appreciation for the discipline, dedication, and the way he continues to represent Aruba with pride on the international stage. Mayvir also invited the community of Aruba to follow his journey and support him during the competition.
