God created us all in His image and His likeness, so that we may be children of God and children of light, so that His Holy Spirit may govern our lives from the moment we accept Christ Jesus as our Lord and Savior. We are not called to walk in darkness and do things that are not in accordance with God’s will, because the light of God governs our lives.
It is true that we are living in perilous times; the word of God shows us this in 2 Timothy 3:1-5, and anyone who chooses not to believe it can see it now, because no one can block the sun with a single finger. It is true that the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ is near; soon He will come to gather His people—those who live for Him and hold the hope of leaving with Him.
But regarding our decency, it is a very sharp pain:
There is no respect for people, nor for human life.
Matrimonial and family love has grown cold.
There is no respect between wife and husband, or between parent and child.
Adultery is breaking many marriages.
Sensuality is causing many disputes.
People speak ill of one another, and it seems as though tearing each other down is a delight.
Perverse dressing has become an art form and falls under the category of “sexy.”
Apologizing, standing in line to wait your turn, or saying “good morning” when entering a place have gone out of style.
Few people take into account that bad (filthy) language is not supposed to be part of our vocabulary.
It seems as though the more violent a person is, the “cooler” (great) they are.
It seems as though the more we drink, party, and use drugs, the longer our lives will be.
It seems as though the more women a married man can have, the more of a man he is.
It seems as though a married woman who has multiple men is considered a brave woman.
Many people stay quiet so as not to lose friendships, but we are not called to condone wickedness. If you know that someone is doing something wrong, you must tell them to their face with sincerity that they are wrong. Do not look at whether they give you money or food, but tell them the truth to save their soul. Correct your child, even if they get angry; do not let them live just any old way, and prevent shame brought upon the whole family.
Do not follow the modern systems of the world, but renew your mind and do the will of God. Just because the world is declining in decency and respect does not mean we have to be part of the buffoonery.
“Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not make provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.” (Romans 13:13-14).
Let us not forget that there are consequences for all those who do not find it necessary to acknowledge God, which is written in Romans 1:28-32. Let us all keep in mind what is written in John 3:16 and what is written in John 3:36. It is time for us all to realize that what is written in Galatians 6:7-8 applies to everyone, because no one can deceive God; before God everything is laid bare, and no one has a private life, because God sees all things.
It is written in 1 John 1:9: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
