Prime Minister Mike Eman states that Aruba now faces the Kingdom Law HOFA because of the Governance Agreement (“MOU”), an agreement of intent to start negotiations

Prome Minister

Prime Minister of Aruba Mike Eman stated in Parliament that it is important to pause and consider why the Kingdom Law HOFA is currently being discussed.

According to him, the law originates from the Governance Agreement, also known as a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) — an agreement of intent to begin negotiations on a financial supervision law for Aruba.

Eman emphasized that the HOFA law stems from this agreement and that this context should be kept in mind during the parliamentary debate.
