Prime Minister Mike Eman Cancels Visit to the Netherlands

Mike Eman

At the end of this week, a delegation from Aruba was scheduled to travel to the Netherlands to attend a series of important matters. Prime Minister Mr. Mike Eman was scheduled to deliver one of the main lectures on Kingdom-related issues on December 9 during the Inter Expo-Koninkrijk, together with, among others, State Secretaries Balkenende and Hirsch Ballin.

Prime Minister Eman was also scheduled to hold meetings with key figures involved in the formation of a new government in the Netherlands. The signing of a new agreement with Schiphol was also on the program.

The situation in the region, along with Prime Minister Mr. Mike Eman’s responsibility to lead the preparations and evaluations of regional scenarios, led him to make this decision. Prime Minister Mr. Mike Eman stated that there is no specific information about what might happen, when, or how, but that the tension is palpable and that responsibility rests in Aruba at this moment, in coordination with the Kingdom’s Foreign Affairs and Defense authorities and our local institutions.
