Labor organizations express concern about financial motivations behind acceptance of the Rijkswet HOFA
United labor organizations have expressed a firm position regarding the right to self-determination, stating that it should not and cannot be subject to negotiation, regardless of existing circumstances.
During a recent statement, union representatives emphasized that the principle of self-determination is fundamental and cannot be exchanged for other interests, including financial considerations.
Additionally, unions took note of the justification presented by the AVP–FUTURO government for accepting the Rijkswet HOFA, which is being framed as an important step toward economic stability. However, from the perspective of the labor movement, many of the arguments presented appear to be primarily financial in nature.
According to the official position of the united unions, a financial situation or position should never serve as a reason to sacrifice or limit a people’s right to self-determination. They stress that this principle holds a fundamental value that goes beyond economic considerations.
