Tourism revenue and focus on high-value visitors continue to strengthen the local economy

The Aruba Tourism Authority (A.T.A.) registered positive tourism results during April 2026, with the latest data confirming continuous growth in tourism spending and a stronger focus on high-value visitors. The Average Daily Tourist Spending (ADTS) rose to AWG 538.73, indicating that visitors continue to spend more during their stay. At the same time, A.T.A. continues to evolve its targeting strategy based on Household Income (HHI), with a stronger focus on high-income segments. Since A.T.A. Sui Generis, the marketing focus has evolved step-by-step regarding household income levels; for the American market, it moved from USD 100,000 to USD 125,000, then to USD 150,000, and finally to USD 250,000. Currently, A.T.A. is placing more emphasis on the household income segment of USD 250,000, reflecting a shift toward attracting higher-quality visitors to Aruba. The HHI category of over USD 250,000 grew by 6% in 2025, as did the category of visitors enjoying an annual income of over USD 150,000.
