AHATA: RevPAR increased by 6% in March

Aruba Hotel & Tourism Association (AHATA) accumulates occupancy figures and hotel prices every month and AHATA CEO, Tisa LaSorte, reports that in March the occupancy rate is lower than 2019, but the average value of each room sold has increased and consequently the RevPAR is higher.

March 2023:

Occupancy: The occupancy rate was 84%; which is 7% lower than the occupancy rate in March 2019.
ADR: The average value of each room sold was $382.19; an increase of 14% compared to March 2019.
RevPAR: Average revenue per available room was $320.75 which is a 6% increase compared to March 2019. RevPAR is the primary indicator of financial performance before deducting operating expenses and taxes.

The projected

Current projections for average hotel occupancy for April are 78%, May is 74%, and June is 74%.

Timeshare: Occupancy at Timeshare properties was 90% in March.
