Only a few days remain until the Aruba Dolphins Open Water 2026, the annual competition organized by the Aruba Dolphins Swimming Club. This event will take place on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Commandeurs Bay, Savaneta, next to Zeerovers.
The event is open to swimmers of various skill levels and ages, as well as anyone ready to challenge themselves in open water. Participants can choose between 1 KM, 3 KM, and 5 KM distances. This year introduces a new addition: the 1.5 KM relay. Here, 3 participants will form a relay team, with each swimmer completing a 500-meter leg.
On event day, registration will open at 6:30 AM, with the first race starting at 7:30 AM. Both start and finish lines for all distances will be at the Zeerovers Pier.
With limited slots available, Aruba Dolphins encourages all interested participants to register early. Registration for the 1 KM, 3 KM, and 5 KM events costs AWG 35 and will close on Friday, September 25, 2026, at 11:30 PM. There will be no race-day registration for these distances.
The Open Water event is more than just a competition. It is an event that brings together swimmers, coaches, families, supporters, and the community to enjoy sports, challenges, and the beauty of Aruba’s ocean. As usual, the bar and kitchen will be fully stocked with items for sale to raise funds for the club.
Aruba Dolphins invites everyone to come support the participants and enjoy a morning filled with sports, energy, and a great atmosphere in Savaneta.
