Aruba gathers to celebrate the Christmas season in a joyful and authentic way with a major community event: PARANDA NORTERO, a Christmas market in an evening dedicated to Aruban traditions, local talent, multicultural gastronomy, and the warm family atmosphere that defines our people. PARANDA NORTERO will take place on November 29, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 11:00 PM, with free entrance for all ages.
This special event is part of the movement “Noord Celebrando Hunto”, an initiative created to unite the neighborhood, families, friends, and visitors in a festive end-of-year environment. Everyone is invited to step outside, embrace the spirit of togetherness, and enjoy an evening filled with tradition and unique cultural performances.
One of the main attractions of the event is the spotlight on local artists, who will showcase their talent and passion on stage. With a vibrant mix of music, dance, and typical Aruban ambiance, the program includes performances by Gruponan di Baile, the contagious rhythm of Tipico Briyante, the cultural energy of Grupo di Betico, and of course, the traditional Christmas sound everyone looks forward to in this season: Gaiteros del Norte.
The Christmas market itself will also be a major highlight. A variety of multicultural food stalls will be present, offering local delicacies, criollo snacks, and dishes from different cultures that are part of our island — and much more. Local artisans will also have their space, offering creative works, traditional gifts, and handmade products perfect for the holiday season.
The main goal of Paranda Nortero is to “promote unity within the community, create a safe and joyful space for families, and keep Aruban Christmas traditions alive as they are passed from generation to generation.” In a time where life moves fast and human connection is often lost, this event aims to bring back the feeling of neighborhood spirit, joy, and collective celebration.
