Gratitude and Appreciation on the Day of Caregivers

Fundashon Mantelzorg

Today, we take a moment to honor all caregivers on Bonaire — the quiet heroes who, often unseen, dedicate themselves every day to caring for someone else out of love and compassion.

It means caring for a partner, parent, child, friend, or neighbor.
It’s cooking an extra meal and delivering it, arranging care and paperwork, doing extra laundry, running errands, and offering a listening ear — all ways of showing someone that they are not alone.

The Day of Caregivers, on Monday, November 10, is a time to reflect on this dedication.
The efforts of caregivers deserve not only recognition and appreciation, but also real, practical support.

The Stichting Mantelzorg Bonaire (Caregivers Foundation Bonaire) plays a key role in supporting caregivers by offering advice, assistance, and raising awareness about their needs.

Together, the Caregivers Foundation Bonaire, Sentro Akseso, the Zorg en Welzijngroep, and the Directorate of Society and Care of the Public Entity Bonaire are working to strengthen the support network for caregivers across the island.

These organizations on Bonaire work hand in hand — because caring for others is something we can sustain better when we do it together.

A heartfelt thank you to all the organizations involved for their meaningful work, and to all caregivers — thank you for being there for your loved ones!
