Port St. Maarten Group (PSG) is pleased to announce that preparations are underway for the spectacular year-end fireworks show at Great Bay, a highlight of the country’s New Year celebrations, which will take place at midnight on Saturday, December 31.
PSG is very happy to once again bring the New Year’s fireworks show to the community and stakeholders, offering a night of enjoyment, entertainment, and celebration as we welcome the new year 2026.
To ensure the safety of all participants, maritime regulations stipulate that a strict safety exclusion zone of 250 meters must be established and maintained around the offshore platform from which the fireworks will be launched. This exclusion zone will be in effect on Saturday, December 31, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until midnight.
In accordance with this, Port St. Maarten management is issuing a notice to all mariners, boat operators, and marina users who are navigating, anchored, or moored in Great Bay, advising them to make the necessary preparations as mentioned above.
PSG encourages everyone to enjoy a safe and joyful New Year’s celebration with family and friends during the fireworks show at Great Bay on Saturday, December 31, according to the company’s statement.
