With support from the private sector, the initiative of Stichting HUNTO to address street addicts is gaining momentum. This effort indicates that businesses and the private sector are interested in finding solutions to reduce the presence of addicts in public areas.

Minister of Justice, Arthur Dowers, emphasized that the Stichting HUNTO project will make a significant contribution to the treatment and management of addiction in public spaces.

The government will provide its support to allow Stichting HUNTO to legally and safely implement its program on the streets.

The HUNTO mobile trailer is now in the foundation’s possession. With the government permit no longer being an obstacle, the foundation can mobilize the trailer and begin direct engagement with addicts. The goal is to offer hope and guidance to help them break the cycle of addiction and achieve a more stable life.
