As part of the “Light It Up Colorful” initiative, Minister of Tourism, Transport and Labor, Mr. Wendrick Cicilia, was present Wednesday evening at the Government Administration Building during the blue light illumination event focused on promoting autism inclusion and awareness.
During his speech, Minister Wendrick Cicilia emphasized the importance of building a community that values each person for their individuality and where inclusion is an essential part of Aruba’s development.
“The true progress of a community is measured by its ability to include, respect, and value each of its citizens. In Aruba, we must continue to foster an environment where everyone has the opportunity to grow and contribute,” Minister Wendrick Cicilia emphasized.
The event brought together ministers, parliamentarians, families, organizations, volunteers, and community members, who reaffirmed their commitment to a more inclusive and aware Aruba.
As a concrete demonstration of support, Minister Cicilia made a contribution of 5,000 florins to the Autism Foundation Aruba, recognizing the valuable work the organization carries out for people with autism and their families.
The contribution aims to support the foundation’s ongoing efforts in areas such as guidance, support, and the promotion of inclusion within Aruban society.
The Government of Aruba reaffirms its commitment to continue promoting initiatives that encourage inclusion, equality, and the well-being of all members of the community, understanding that a more inclusive society is also a stronger society.
