On Monday, July 14, 2025, the third edition of the SKAL Jam Session will take place in the inspiring garden of Museo SKAL. This is a creative event, open to local musicians and music-loving tourists, aimed at encouraging cultural exchange, collaboration, and inspiration.
The featured artist of this edition is Luis “Luis Moka” Molina, winner of Kanto Krioyo 2024, known for his innovations in Krioyo music and his songs that bridge past and present. In 2022, he was selected as a cultural ambassador of Bonaire by the Tourism Corporation Bonaire.
What to expect:
Live musical performance by Luis Moka – his style, rhythm, and vision for local music.
Open jam session – local and visiting musicians are welcome to join in and play kuarta, tambú, guitar or any instrument under the direction of Luis Moka.
Interactive participation – use rhythm sticks or handclaps to actively join in, even if you’re not a musician.
Musician registration – SKAL will register participants in its cultural database to share more cultural information and opportunities in the future.
