Strength For Families: The Bible shows that Halloween is a showcase of witchcraft

Many times, parents don’t understand where their children’s rebellion comes from, or they are unaware of how many demonic cartoons exist on television, cable, the internet, and even on children’s phones.

The Word of God says: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” (Hosea 4:6)

The Bible condemns witchcraft and Halloween, as well as all other works of darkness.
Today, some people say that the word Halloween does not appear in the Bible, using that as an excuse to defend darkness. But even though the word itself isn’t there, the Bible — as the book of prevention, deliverance, and judgment — warns us not to take part in any unfruitful works of darkness.

You also hear the modern slogan: “Let everyone live their own life.”
But a bit of wisdom shows us that the life we have was given by God, and that we will all have to give an account to Him for what we have done with that life.

The Bible condemns all kinds of witchcraft, no matter its color — white, black, or multicolored — because it is an abomination before God.

Here are the Bible verses where God condemns these practices, so that everyone may know:
Exodus 22:18
Leviticus 19:31
Leviticus 20:6 and 20:27
Deuteronomy 18:10–14
Galatians 5:19–21
2 Corinthians 6:14–16
Revelation 21:8

Just as we import food and clothing from all over the world, we also import evil, devilry, and satanism — without realizing what we are embracing or celebrating.

Witchcraft is rebellion against God.
Witchcraft belongs to Satan.
Those who practice witchcraft will not enter the Kingdom of God unless they repent and turn away from their wicked ways.

All manipulation, control, and deceit used by people to harm others are forms of witchcraft.

The enemy knows that when he presents Halloween as a festive celebration, he attracts many people. Because he has power over those who refuse to serve the Lord with all their hearts, he even set apart a day for celebration — so that global attention is drawn to it. But all this serves only to keep people in darkness.

Now, a question arises: who really steals from the Bible — us, or our adversary, the devil, who came only to steal, kill, and destroy?

Young people, when your parents tell you to stay away from everything that belongs to darkness and explain the consequences, it is for you to listen — not to get angry. For the Word of God is meant to be obeyed, not opposed.

God is light, and in Him there is no darkness.

“Abstain from every form of evil.” (1 Thessalonians 5:22)
“Do not give the devil a foothold.” (Ephesians 4:27)

The Lord clearly awakens us not to take part in these things.

Revelation 18:4 says:
“Come out of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sins and will not receive any of her plagues.”

And don’t forget that the Word of God says in 1 Corinthians 6:19:
“Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body.”
