Not supporting or sustaining evil but the will of God

Boluntad Di Dios

Just as a person who knowingly buys stolen goods, while fully aware of what they are doing, becomes an accomplice to theft, so too does a person who knowingly participates in, supports, or sustains sin become an accomplice or partner in sin.

Sin often presents itself attractively today, and immorality is worn like clothing. Therefore, we must open our eyes and carefully choose which side we stand on, because it is easy to end up supporting evil.

Having power does not always mean being right. We see many people in the world with power, yet their hearts and actions are far removed from the will of God. Their pride and arrogance have exceeded all limits, just as in the time of King Belshazzar (Daniel 5:25–30).

As children of God, we must be very careful about whom we support and whom we stand behind, and we must not fear their power. Otherwise, we may easily fall into idolatry and end up supporting evil and even ungodliness.

Do not simply say “yes” to maintain friendships or good relationships. Open your eyes and discern whether God’s will is truly taking place, or whether it is merely human will seeking to achieve personal desires. There are people whose thoughts are dominated solely by evil (Genesis 6:5).

Everything that goes against the Word and principles of God—although widely accepted in today’s world and even protected by law—may please people, but before God it remains sin.

Tolerating children who use drugs, abuse alcohol, carry weapons, or live in immorality makes us complicit in wrongdoing, because we know what is happening and treat it as normal, even encouraging others to do the same. Many forget what it cost Eli his life, as written in 1 Samuel 2:22–25 and 4:14–18.

As painful as it may be, we must firmly confront such behavior and clearly state that what is being done is wrong. No matter how angry people may become, evil must be exposed, rebuked, and brought into the light so that repentance can take place and the soul may be saved.

Immorality and injustice have gone too far and are now tolerated. Bad behavior, lack of respect, and lack of discipline are accepted, and nothing is done. It seems that many parents have lost their authority and allow things to spiral out of control, while society suffers under the grip of delinquency.

Matthew 11:28 says: “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

There is no reason for people to continue walking in evil, immorality, and perversity. God shows no favoritism; everyone is welcome to come to Him. No one is excluded—everyone is included—because God loved the world.

But the sin and deception of the devil make people believe they are excluded, discriminated against, or unsafe. Sin brings fear and shame (Genesis 2:9).

Once a sinful lifestyle is abandoned and the light of God begins to shine in a person’s life, there is no longer any reason to hide.

Now more than ever, turn away from sin and come into the light of God.
