Parliamentarian Dangui Oduber expressed satisfaction with the meeting in Parliament where labor unions presented their perspective on the proposed Rijkswet HOFA. According to Oduber, the explanations were comprehensive and helped parliamentarians understand their responsibilities as members of Parliament and the importance of the institution in protecting the interests of the people.
“The explanation in Parliament clearly demonstrated why we exist as a Parliament and where our responsibilities lie,” Oduber stated. He emphasized that the unions detailed the main reasons for which they oppose the Rijkswet HOFA, providing important guidance for parliamentarians in evaluating the proposal.
According to Oduber, the meeting was an opportunity to increase transparency in the legislative process and to ensure that Parliament hears the voice of the unions before making final decisions.
