The Minister of Justice, Integration, Public Transport, and Energy, Mr. Drs. Arthur Dowers, held a meeting with Anneke Nicolaas, director of Fundacion Guia Mi, a highly valued institution in our community dedicated to the protection, guidance, and well-being of children and families in vulnerable situations.
Fundacion Guia Mi fulfills an essential role as a minor protection institution and, in certain cases, assumes responsibility for supervision and guardianship (voogdij), always placing the child’s best interest first.
During the meeting, Fundacion Guia Mi presented their challenges to Minister Dowers regarding their task of providing protection to children. Furthermore, they discussed closer collaboration between the government and the social sector, with a strategic focus on creating developmental opportunities for every child.
