The ban on homosexual conversion therapy also applies to the Caribbean Netherlands: Is it possible to force someone to convert or be healed through faith?

I would just like to give my opinion on this article that I read, published by dossierkoninkrijkrelaties on June 3, 2026.

Before I continue, I want to make it clear that I have a great love for all persons who are in the confusion of LGBTQ thinking. And this love drives me to explain certain truths that must be shared, in order to give a fair chance to everyone who wants to listen, reflect, and make their own decisions.

Minister Van Weel wants to offer equal protection to BES citizens.

Equality for BES citizens.

My question is, when is this ‘equality’ we speak of applied, and when is it not? We all know about the book written by Mrs. Nina den Heyer and Rene Zwart, editor-in-chief of dossierkoninkrijkrelaties, published in October 2025—15 years after 101010—titled Chronicles of Broken Promises, which gives a clear view of the inequality between European Dutch citizens and those of the Caribbean Netherlands.

A majority in the Senate is not in favor of excluding the Caribbean Netherlands from the implementation of the legal ban on forcing homosexual and transgender individuals to undergo therapy or faith healing.

(Noel)

First, a majority of the Senate. The Senate (Eerste Kamer) consists of 75 members. This means a majority of these 75 people, perhaps 40 individuals, are making decisions for us here in Bonaire. And keep this in mind: in a democracy the majority decides, but what the majority decides is not necessarily correct. Because if you have a senate whose leadership is headed by a person who practices acts against the natural function of the body, you cannot expect the influence they wish to bring to be based on anything other than this corrupt source.

Darkness can never produce light.

“forcing homosexual and transgender individuals to undergo therapy or faith healing”

My question is, exactly what age group are they referring to? Because in my view, a child from 0 to 18 years old falls under the guidance of and must be educated by their parents. They must decide how the child is educated, not the state.

Once that child turns 18, no one can force them to do anything they do not want to do. That is why it is important for parents to raise their children in love, reality, and truth in the fear of God before they become adults, to prevent them from running off and believing all kinds of madness.

Meaning you cannot force anyone, whether an adult homosexual or transgender person, to convert; it doesn’t work that way. You can only convert when you yourself realize the errors you are living in after being made aware of the truth. That person must make their own decision. Because you can pressure someone to convert, but God is not going to force that person to change if they do not want to change.

You can tear someone away from their own free will, take them to church, and have a pastor pray for them for a whole year for healing or deliverance, but if that person’s heart is not open to it, God will not be able to heal them. Because this would go against that person’s will. Yes, God is love, and precisely because He is love, He respects everyone’s own free will, even when His heart aches to see someone on the path to eternal damnation. God never forces anyone to do anything against their will.

In my opinion, these types of laws have much more to do with creating a false impression regarding the word of God and the intention to exclude correct education and biblical principles from our community.

BBB member Marquart Scholtz pointed to objections expressed in letters to The Hague by the island administration of Bonaire and religious leaders on the island. “There are clear cultural and religious differences between the Netherlands and the islands,” the senator said.

(Noel)

Clearly, we here in Bonaire are aware that we were raised and educated with moral principles. Although perhaps they are not practiced as they should be by many, it is logical for us to understand that when two people of the same sex want to be involved with each other sexually, something in their minds is in a state of confusion, and these relationships cannot reproduce anything. Homosexual relationships are the destruction of the correct blueprint of the family. Akseso here in Bonaire released a very beautiful video in December 2025 about the family as the nucleus of our community.

And we must recognize that. Because accepting this confusion changes nothing about the principles and the truth that your sex is determined by your biological body. No law or imagination can change this principle.

Even if the prime minister of the Netherlands practices these perversions.

“If culturally different viewpoints prevail there, I would say: all the more reason to apply this legislation there as well. I see no reason to say: let’s not introduce it there. In fact, it seems like a good idea to me to do so,” Gala Veldhoeven (GroenLinks-PvdA) replied.

(Noel)

Just listen to the tone this person is speaking with. Who is this person? What is their moral standing? How long have they lived here in Bonaire? How much respect do they give us as residents here? What right do they have to force us to accept something we did not decide on ourselves? Do we understand now how colonial power functions?

(Article)

Minister of Justice and Security David van Weel: “In accordance with the principle of ‘comply or explain’, all changes in legislation in principle also apply to the BES islands. We found no reason to deviate from this in this case. We consider it of great importance that people on the BES islands receive the same protection as people in the Netherlands.”

(Noel)

In other words, the colonizing kingdom’s senate (Eerste Kamer), which consists of 75 people—the majority of whom want to implement laws upon us here—are people who have perhaps never visited Bonaire, our home. Clearly, they do not respect our norms and values either, namely the letters from the government and spiritual leaders on the island regarding this LGBTQ issue. This senate is under the leadership of a leader who is living a life contrary to the normal principles of human functioning as man and woman regarding sexuality.

They want to force us by implementing laws to prevent us from raising awareness of the truth, but rather to sustain erroneous ideologies, without forcing anyone to convert. Because again, you cannot force people to convert, as conversion is a decision that everyone has to make personally for themselves after coming to knowledge. God never forces anyone to do anything against their own free will.

It is the parents’ obligation to ensure they educate their children with both sides of the coin. Because allowing legislations implemented by the state, which are clearly destined to force everyone to accept erroneous ideologies that are already being imprinted into the minds of these innocents at schools, will continue to damage the minds of the innocents growing up here. It is important to bring the truth forward as well to give them a fair chance to choose what is right.

(Article)

Scholtz: “The public body of Bonaire is indeed bringing forward arguments saying, ‘Wait a moment with that legislation, because we are not ready for it yet.’ The church leaders say that too. That is why my question to the Minister is to wait with the entry into force of the penal provision for the BES islands; we must prevent the idea from arising on those islands that a kind of neocolonialism is shoving a new law down their throats.”

(Noel)

Those here in Bonaire who do not want to understand or accept that we are living in a modern colonial system—which can be clearly seen by the facts of how laws are made without consulting us, and even when we give our point of view regarding these laws they are rejected—are totally blind to reality.

(Article)

Minister Van Weel: “The implementation of legislation on the BES islands takes place via a ‘comply or explain’ procedure. What we are doing with this is complying. In principle, we offer the same legal protection to our citizens on the BES islands as to our citizens in the Netherlands. The fact that these practices can occur there would be, for me, precisely a motivation to enter into this article of law immediately, so as to guarantee that we can enforce those protections as quickly as possible.”

(Noel)

Bonaireans, it is time for us to open our eyes. Just living to party without using common sense brings about these things: people we don’t even know are deciding for us how we have to educate our children, and they are educating them in an incorrect and wrong way, the consequence of which is the destruction of their mind, body, and soul.

Let us start opening our eyes and begin to understand the reality of life.
