An evening filled with emotion and pride marked the AHATA Excellence Awards 2026, where the Aruba Hotel & Tourism Association (AHATA) honored 37 exceptional professionals. The celebration brought together 250 guests in the Astor Ballroom at The St. Regis Aruba Resort to celebrate the individuals who have contributed to our country’s success through their passion and service.
The annual award ceremony is an expression of industry gratitude to those who give their best, day in and day out. Selected by their respective companies, every honoree stands out for their exceptional dedication throughout the year. Across a variety of roles, they help build a productive economy and strengthen Aruba’s image.
The ceremony placed these individuals center stage, celebrating their achievements and the pride they bring to themselves, their families, and their colleagues. During the event, 37 people received an artistic trophy specially designed by local artist Gilbert Senchi. Shaped like a seashell, the trophy represents the warmth and durability of our hospitality. AHATA President & CEO, Ms. Tisa LaSorte, presented the awards on stage in front of industry representatives and loved ones of each honoree.
In the coming weeks, AHATA will share each honoree’s story on social media so the community can learn about the motivation and passion behind their work. Follow the tributes on facebook.com/arubahotelandtourismassociation and on Instagram @arubahata.
AHATA is proud of this special event and the professionals of our tourism industry. AHATA thanks all sponsors and partners for their essential support: Elite Productions & Entertainment, The St. Regis Aruba Resort, De Palm Corporation, Tropical Bottling, and Wings Global Media. AHATA also extends its gratitude to the student volunteers from EPI Hospitality and other volunteers: Ms. Zahaira Kelly, Ricardo Kock, and Danique Erasmus.
