Aruba One Happy Island Lions Club announces that preparations for our service projects for the month of December are underway. During the holiday season, our club will continue serving the community with initiatives focused on social welfare, family support, and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
Service Projects – December 2025
A Smile for Our Children:
A Christmas celebration dedicated to children from low-income families, featuring gifts, games, entertainment, and a joyful atmosphere.
Tayo riba Mesa – Christmas Edition:
A program aimed at fighting hunger and supporting families in difficult situations by providing food packages and warm meals throughout December. On December 6, 7, 13, and 14, donations of food items, dry goods, personal care products, hygiene products, and children’s gifts can be dropped off at Centro Kibrahacha in Piedra Plat between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Walk for Your Health and Wellness:
On December 17, 2025 at 5:00 p.m., we will host a family walk at Linear Park to promote health and wellness. Participation is 5 florin and at the finish you will receive a beautiful medal and fruit. Registration is available via WhatsApp at 568-0829.
Participants may choose a personal cause to walk for, such as cancer awareness, diabetes, the environment, youth, vision, mental health, humanitarian aid, or hunger relief. You are free to creatively represent your chosen cause on your T-shirt.
Peace Poster Contest – Award Ceremony:
The award ceremony for the winners of the Peace Poster Contest will take place in December 2025. This event honors young artists who expressed creativity and messages of peace. A total of 55 students from St. Paulus School participated.
Harley-Davidson Raffle:
The raffle continues, offering the chance to win a Harley-Davidson Fat Boy – 120th Anniversary Edition or AWG 35,000 cash as the grand prize.
Tickets can be purchased every Saturday and Sunday at PriceSmart in Dakota, or through any member of the Aruba One Happy Island Lions Club. Businesses wishing to contribute to this good cause may contact us — we will gladly visit your location. This raffle is made possible through the initiative of the Old Skool Bikers and their program “Helping the Helpers.”
