Bonaire welcomed The World luxury cruise
ship, which remained in port until March 7.
MS The World is a private, lavish residential cruise ship operating like a condominium
complex. Residents from various countries own spacious apartments on board. These
residents decide in advance where in the world they would like to go and Bonaire has
been a destination chosen more than once. The total capacity is between 150 and 200
residents, with a crew of 280, while the ship has 12 decks.
Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) operated the hospitality desk onboard, where the
residents could seek advice on island activities, make dinner reservations, book car
rentals, and arrange other experiences.
The World previously visited Bonaire, and TCB hopes the island’s experience will
encourage future visits. By continuously improving our product, we can guarantee more
visits from this and other similar ships.
