Centro di Bario Noord Has a New Board: “Noord Growing Together”

The new board that will lead Centro di Bario Noord (CBN) for the upcoming term has been installed. The volunteers who make up the CBN board are: Kathleen Paskel (President), Lisa Giel (Secretary), Shamira Koolman (Treasurer), Marlin Ignacio (Board Member), Lisandra Frans (Board Member), Aveline Figaroa (Board Member), Chrislaine Tromp (Board Member), and Shailiny Lee (Board Member).

All members of the CBN board are highly motivated and inspired to continue working toward the well-being of the people of Noord and are committed to achieving all set goals through strong cooperation with all partners.

CBN extends its gratitude to everyone who, over the past 55 years, has contributed—whether as a board member, committee member, regular user, or volunteer.

Special thanks are extended to the outgoing board members: Mrs. Anna Maria Giel (former Secretary) and Mrs. Shailiny Lee (former President), for their contributions and dedication over more than a decade.

About CBN

Centro di Bario Noord (CBN) was founded on May 25, 1970. The first president of the board was Mr. Feliz Flanegin, followed by Mr. Ovito Tromp, then Mrs. Shailiny Lee, and currently Mrs. Kathleen Paskel.

For more than five decades, CBN has served as a place of meeting, unity, and exchange, where children, youth, adults, and seniors come together to participate in one or more programs aimed at their development, or take part in cultural, social, educational, recreational, and sports activities and gatherings
