In a warm and festive atmosphere, made possible by Balashi Garden, Grupo Melodia proudly launched their latest production featuring eight new songs to celebrate the end of the year.
With tasty snacks and drinks provided by Balashi and Chill, attendees enjoyed an evening filled with music, where the group shared their artistic journey and announced plans for new projects. Next year, Grupo Melodia will celebrate its 15th anniversary, a milestone they are already preparing for.
This success is also due to the main support of Tat-Fat Hardware, which continues to ensure the group’s longevity.
The group hopes for the community’s support by purchasing their new music collection on USB stick, available directly from the group members or by sending a WhatsApp message to 730-1214 or 567-1664.
Grupo Melodia is a well-known music group celebrated for its unique sound and character, performing a wide range of genres that bring great variety to their repertoire. In times when keeping a large group together is not easy, Melodia continues to bring joy and a festive atmosphere to homes and fans year after year, especially during the holiday season.
Their productions are traditionally focused on Christmas and New Year, blending dance music with traditional Creole rhythms.
This year is no exception: for the 14th consecutive year, the group presents a festive production titled “Ban Trese Alegria” (Bring Joy), continuing their beloved tradition.
As always, they express gratitude to every member for making this new release possible once again.
Grupo Melodia’s vocalists are Kiziah Trimon, Nicole Dijkhoff, Reechel Fingal, Reanne Ras, and Jaylon Machado.
The musicians include Dido de Cuba (drums), Cassandra Trimon (percussion), Franklin Richardson (congas), Sherby Olliverre (timbales), Giovanni Boekhoudt (piano), Jeremy Dijkhoff (cuarta), Ivan Croes (bass), and Rubin Ponson (mandolin).
Special thanks go to Jair Boekhoudt (tambora) and T-Drick Boekhoudt (piano) for their contributions to specific tracks. All recordings took place at Melodia Studio.

A son montuno: “Horea ta pa tende”
A promotional gaita/cumbia: “Ban Trese Alegria”
A merengue: “Bo no por keda afo”
A Christmas waltz: “Pesebre en canciones”
A traditional Aruban tumba: “Moch’i Pisca”
A closing parang/calypso: “Let it Shine”
A diverse and colorful production, featuring songs in Spanish, English, and Papiamento, across a variety of musical rhythms and interpretations by the talented members of the group.
The songs are now playing on local radio stations and available on USB stick, giving everyone the chance to support the group and enjoy sweet music to close the year with joy.
Finally, Grupo Melodia thanks everyone who attended the launch event for showing interest and appreciation for local artists, as well as all radio stations that will share this new music to bring happiness into every home this holiday season.
