Report of Theft
On Sunday, November 2, 2025, the police received a report of the theft of a fatbike from a residence on Kaya Pos di Watapana.
The complainant stated that the fatbike had been parked behind the house on the evening of Saturday, November 1, and secured with a chain lock. The next morning, the fatbike was gone.
The stolen bike is a black fatbike of the brand Bikers Choice Helmet. The investigation is ongoing.
House Fire
On Sunday, November 2, 2025, the central dispatch center received a report of a fire at a residence in Washikemba.
When police and firefighters arrived at the scene, they found that construction workers and neighbors had already managed to extinguish most of the fire. The fire had started at a battery from a power tool that caught fire while charging.
The fire department checked the situation to ensure safety.
Speed Control on E.E.G. Boulevard
On Monday, November 3, 2025, between 06:00 and 07:00 a.m., the police conducted a speed control operation on E.E.G. Boulevard, near Kaya Ir. Randolph Statius van Eps.
The operation was carried out using a laser gun. The maximum permitted speed on this road is 40 km/h.
During the control, a total of seven (7) fines were issued:
– Four (4) for exceeding the speed limit
– One (1) for failure to present a valid driver’s license
– One (1) for driving without valid insurance
– One (1) for missing license plates on both the front and rear of the vehicle
The highest recorded speed was 82 km/h.
The police emphasize the importance of responsible driving and adhering to the speed limit. Speeding increases the risk of serious traffic accidents and endangers not only the driver but also other road users.
Theft from Tourist Accommodation on Kaya Inglatera
On Monday, November 3, 2025, around 3:00 p.m., the central dispatch center received a report of a theft at a tourist accommodation on Kaya Inglatera.
Unknown individuals stole several items, including a phone, a laptop, and various cards.
The police are investigating the case.
Public Violence on Kaya Vibrafon
On the evening of Saturday, November 1, 2025, the central dispatch center received a report of public violence on Kaya Vibrafon.
Upon arrival, officers encountered a man who stated he had been assaulted by two other men.
The victim sustained injuries and was treated on-site by ambulance personnel.
The police are investigating the incident.
