Recognition for two visitors and for George ‘Kultura’ Thodé

Turismo

This past April, Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) recognized two visitors from the United States who have been visiting Bonaire for 20 years.

The individuals in question are Jeffrey Gorman and Sharon Lindsey. They are deeply fond of our island, particularly for its dive sites and other exotic attractions. On this occasion, they were presented with a certificate and a gold pin.

We also paid tribute to Mr. George ‘Kultura’ Thodé, who, on April 1, 2026, celebrated his 45th anniversary of service with STINAPA. ‘Kultura’, as he is known to everyone, began working at Washington Park at a young age. He possesses extensive knowledge of the Bonairean culture and nature.

In recognition of his contributions to the preservation of our culture and nature, as well as his efforts in providing information in these fields, TCB also honored Mr. George ‘Kultura’ as a Bonaire Ambassador. He was presented with a plaque of merit for all the work he has accomplished.

Representing TCB, Helen Mercera oversaw the ceremonies and presented the pins, certificates, and plaque to our ambassadors.
