Tiger Taekwondo Academy held the 23rd edition of the international tournament Open Aruba Taekwondo 2023.
Athletes from eight countries were on a visit and competed against each other in shadow boxing. The athletes were from Aruba, Curaçao, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Brazil and the Dominican Republic.
The Aruba Open 2023 took place from August 21 to 26 and the final at the Centro Betico Croes featured more than 88 national and international athletes. Both the coaches of Tiger Taekwondo Academy as well as master Teo Rodriguez, Jason Ridderstaat, all members of the foundation, would like to thank all those who made this sporting event possible.
After the national anthem of Aruba was played, Pastor Tirzo Kolfin offered the blessing prayer and the master of ceremonies, Addonsito Croesa called some people in the sports world who gave speeches. They were Moises Fernandez of Aruba Taekwondo Bond, Nicole Hoeverts of the Aruba Olympic Committee and sports minister Endy Croes. Master Teo Rodriguez thanked everyone, including the referees and volunteers and in the end handed out the corresponding prizes to all winners. One thing is certain, another year 2024, this tournament will definitely be held again.
