Women Day focused on empowerment and inspiration at La
Cabana Beach Resort Casino, as the resort offered its female associates a special
event featuring an inspiring guest speaker, Tisa LaSorte.
The resort was honored to welcome the first Aruban female CEO & President of the
Aruba Hotel and Tourism Association, AHATA, who shared her remarkable journey
and talked about her significant contributions to the island’s tourism industry.
Her story of perseverance, leadership, and success provided valuable insights into
her personal and professional growth, from humble beginnings to her current
position of leadership. She also discussed the challenges she faced as a woman and
the goals she accomplished along the way.
In addition to her personal story, she touched on the current state and prospects of
tourism in Aruba, offering the audience a deeper understanding of the sector's
impact on our community.
The event was moderated by Assistant General Manager, Jessica Franken , who
facilitated an engaging and insightful discussion.
La Cabana’s female associates were inspired and motivated by LaSorte, born, and
raised in Aruba, the daughter of former Lieutenant Governor Oscar Henriquez. In her
position as the AHATA CEO & President she champions sustainability, and education
promoting policies that benefits the community and the industry.
