Last week, the leader of the MAN-PIN faction, Giselle Mc William, together with faction collaborator Alvin Daal, held a working meeting with the nursing union, CBV, regarding the situation of workers in the care sector. Representatives from Aruban trade unions also participated, highlighting that this challenge has a regional dimension.

CBV presented a clear overview of the wage disparities and the challenges that healthcare workers face on a daily basis. These involve working conditions, a shortage of specialized personnel, and a continuous drain of professionals to other countries within the Kingdom.

During the meeting, the MAN-PIN Faction presented its analysis and several concrete options to reach realistic and sustainable solutions. The discussion resulted in a constructive exchange regarding measures that could improve the situation in the short and medium term.

Despite being in the opposition, the MAN-PIN Faction continues to take responsibility for contributing ideas, proposals, and solutions to the issues affecting our community. We do not limit ourselves to criticism, but also work actively alongside different sectors to achieve better outcomes for our people.

In the coming period, the MAN-PIN Faction and CBV will continue to work on concrete proposals to improve working conditions in the healthcare sector, recognize this beautiful profession, and ensure it becomes more attractive to our youth.
