Recently, AFTA submitted its figures for the first half of the year to the Minister of Finance, Economic Affairs, and Primary Sector, Geoffrey Wever. This submission is part of a working method where transparency, accountability, and answerability are central to the functioning of a professional institute.

For Minister Wever, the structured and consistent way AFTA reports on its operations is an important example of good governance. Institutions that operate with clarity, timely information, and accountability contribute to greater trust and a more solid public apparatus.

“Good governance is not just a principle on paper. It must be reflected in the way institutions manage, report, and account for their actions. Transparency builds trust, and this strengthens our institutions,” Minister Wever stated.

Minister Wever considers that professionalization, transparency, and institutional accountability must continue to form an integral part of how public institutions operate. This contributes to a stronger, more reliable Government that manages the public interest with responsibility and seriousness.
