From December 8 to 15, 2025, the 50th Army Company will conduct a scheduled military training exercise on Bonaire. The unit is stationed in Curaçao and trains regularly to remain well prepared. It is common for army companies to visit Bonaire several times a year for training purposes.
During the exercise, the army will collaborate with local organizations and auxiliary services. The soldiers will be accommodated at the scouting clubhouse in Rincon and will train at the island’s designated training areas. They will also perform tasks that contribute to social initiatives.
The unit’s commander, Captain Roderik Willems, together with the headquarters liaison officer, Major Arthur Duursma, will pay a courtesy visit to the Public Entity Bonaire.
This training is part of Defense’s regular operations. For questions, you may contact the Public Entity Bonaire.
