In connection with the season of kite-making and competitions, the Department of Culture Aruba organized a special kite-making workshop for colleagues, with the aim of expanding knowledge and keeping one of our most cherished traditions alive.
During the workshop, participants had the opportunity to learn different techniques, gain more insight into the process of making a kite (fli), and share in an atmosphere of creativity, collaboration, and cultural pride. It was also a special moment where colleagues could exchange ideas, experiences, and work together as a team.
The workshop was presented by Julio Werleman and Farrel Werleman, who, with great dedication and enthusiasm, shared their knowledge and expertise with everyone present. The Department of Culture Aruba continues to work toward preserving, promoting, and strengthening our customs and traditions so that they may be passed down from generation to generation.
