Guiding the Way Forward: Introducing the University of Aruba’s New Rector

The University of Aruba has appointed Sue-Ann Lee as the next Rector of the University of Aruba, effective July 1, 2025. An Aruban native, Sue-Ann Lee has served as Interim Rector for 19 months and has spent 3 years as Dean of the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management Studies at the University of Aruba (UA). She began her career in tourism and marketing, and after several years of experience, decided to enter the education sector as an Academic Lecturer at UA. With her expertise in the tourism industry, she contributed for many years to education within the faculty and in 2022 achieved the position of Dean.

In her new role as Rector, Sue-Ann Lee brings leadership, experience, and a deep passion for advancing knowledge, innovation, and community connection. Her mission will be to promote academic excellence, inclusive growth, and to strengthen the university’s impact both locally and globally.
