As part of the start of the new youth parliamentary year, where several young people were installed and sworn into new positions, MEP faction Member of Parliament Shailiny Tromp-Lee expressed her joy and described this moment as a true celebration and milestone for Aruba.
According to the MP, the role played by the Youth Parliament Foundation in shaping the youth is of incalculable value for the country’s future.
Tromp-Lee shared that one of the most important aspects of this platform is that it educates young people and helps them overcome the fear of expressing themselves:
Confidence building: The program provides youth with the necessary confidence to voice their opinions and demand that their voice be heard in society.
Workshops and training: The foundation offers workshops that focus not only on general education, but also on the fundamental aspects of becoming a good leader for tomorrow.
Seizing the opportunity: She made a special call to all children and young people to grab this opportunity with both hands and make good use of all the tools provided by the Youth Parliament.
Finally, the MEP parliamentarian congratulated and thanked the board of the Youth Parliament Foundation for their continuous dedication and for expanding the platform year after year, successfully bringing together a large group of youth committed to making their voices heard. She highlighted the invaluable volunteer work performed by the board and team for the well-being of Aruba.
