Minister Wendrick Cicilia and the A.T.A. Supervisory Board focus on the future of tourism

Thursday morning, Minister Wendrick Cicilia held an important meeting where the future of tourism in Aruba was discussed. Among those present at the meeting were Ronella Croes, CEO of the Aruba Tourism Authority, Jo-Anne Arends as Chair of the ATA Supervisory Board, and other members of the Supervisory Board.

During the meeting, various important topics were discussed, such as the tourism management of the country of Aruba in preparation for the Corporate Plan, but also the A.T.A. Budget for the year 2027. An open dialogue was held on the various projects that tourism entails.

It is worth remembering that Minister Cicilia announced a trajectory that has begun with the development of a national policy for tourism. In the first session, there was an extensive conversation with stakeholders about the way forward, recalibrating the different tourism factors, in addition to discussing different points of orientation.

In the second session, they delved a little deeper into different topics. In this way, the feeling of dialogue is reinforced with the intention to cooperate intentionally with stakeholders in the tourism sector. In the second session, they also discussed the expansion of strategic points.

At this moment, preparations are underway for the third session, where they will address the implementation of the determined strategic vision and different concrete projects, as well as strengthening the economy and tourism of Aruba. This ensures that we have a strong Aruba that can overcome difficult times, but also create opportunities for those who want to participate in the economic benefits of the country of Aruba.
