In June, Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) recognized seven visitors as official Bonaire Ambassadors, awarding them in the silver and gold categories for their continued dedication to the island.

In the silver category, Carol and Wayne Farmer were honored for their consistent visits to Bonaire over the past 19 years. The ceremony was held at Captain Don’s Habitat, with the resort’s general manager, Claire Thielman-Sealy, in attendance.

In the gold category, Nick and Britta Monaco, along with Conny and Jan van der Poll from the Netherlands, were recognized for their 25 years of visit to the island. Diane Fisher also received a gold pin in recognition of her 20 years of visit.

A special highlight of the event was the van der Polls’ strong connection to the local community. Over the years, they’ve built lasting friendships on Bonaire, including with the Faber family and Bòi Antoin, who was present at the ceremony.

Helen Mercera, representing TCB management, led the award ceremony and handed out the official certificates and pins to each of the newly recognized ambassadors.
