Aruba Bank’s November Legacy Project helps bring another community initiative to life.
As part of its “Legacy Project,” Aruba Bank is honored to contribute a donation of 100,000 florins to Stichting HUNTO, a foundation dedicated to helping individuals facing homelessness, addiction, and social vulnerability.
The donation is designated for the “Bemoeizorg Mobile Outreach Unit,” a pioneering initiative that brings care and hope directly to those living on the streets. The mobile bus will provide services such as refreshment, a shower, basic healthcare, and social guidance, delivered by a multidisciplinary team of nurses, social workers, and volunteers.
Edseline Leer, Head of Retail Banking at Aruba Bank, stated during the official handover:
“Aruba Bank believes that every person deserves dignity and hope. The project by Stichting HUNTO demonstrates what we can achieve when we work together toward a stronger and more stable community. We are proud to help make the ‘Bemoeizorg Mobile Outreach Unit’ project a reality.”
The project expects to help more than 50 people per day, giving them a chance for a fresh start and reintegration into society.
Aruba Bank’s “Legacy Project” focuses on three pillars of social responsibility: community, education, and well-being, with the goal of leaving a lasting legacy for Aruba.
