It was an intense, successful and fruitful week and hopefully soon this can translate also into projects in Aruba. Prime Minister Evelyn Wever-Croes, this week is in New York for the meetings of the United Nations General Assembly #UNGA78 where in these last 3 days, 25 different conferences, high-level events, and meetings on various topics were attended, such as human rights and topics to empower women, climate adaptation and infrastructure, energy and poverty.
The Prime Minister addressed all the relevant topics regarding Aruba both at the meetings and at the conferences where he took the floor. The Prime Minister also attended a very interesting event about how to eliminate more plastic. A big global problem is still that people continue to make pollution and most of the time this pollution ends up on our beaches. The Prime Minister empasized that this forum is necessary and the place to call attention to such developments.
In each session that the Prime Minister participated, the points were brought forward of what is Aruba carrying out in various fields including innovation, Early Warning System, initiatives on energy, environmental fields, tourism advances, health care, and education. This is a way of trying to come up with more funds to speed up our projects. Today is the end of this intense week, but it was a successful and fruitful week for Aruba and hopefully this may also translate into projects that we could finish in Aruba. It is an honor and pride to be able to represent my lovely Aruba on an international stage, said the Prime Minister.
