the 2026 Government Cup (Copa Gubernamental) tournament took place, featuring the participation of 15 teams from various government departments, state-owned companies, and institutions, as well as 3 women’s teams. It was a tournament filled with great energy and stands packed with fans.
On Saturday, June 27, 2026, following the grand finale, the award ceremony took place. The Minister of Telecommunications, Mr. Rene Herde, presented the trophies to the champion teams, while the Director of SETAR, Mr. Roland Croes, presented awards to the standout players. This was followed by entertainment by the band Tsunami, where attendees were able to enjoy the great atmosphere and celebrate together.
Huge congratulations to the WEB Aruba N.V. team, who were crowned Champions of the 2026 Government Cup, and the AAA team as the Sub-Champions (runners-up). In addition, Jomark Flanegin from CEA was awarded Champion Batter and Champion Homerun, Dayron Matthew from SETAR was named Champion Pitcher, and the Men’s MVP title went to Reinald Silberie from WEB Aruba N.V.
In the women’s category, KPA was crowned the Women’s Champions of the 2026 Government Cup, with the HOH team finishing as Sub-Champions. In the individual awards for the women’s category, Catleen Geerman from HOH was awarded Champion Batter, Shirley Willems from KPA was named Champion Pitcher, and Rudlyn Ras from KPA took home the Women’s MVP award.
