The LAFT National Ordinance and the HOFA Kingdom Law are two completely different laws, and their impact on Aruba is also different

Minister Geoffrey Wever 3

Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs Geoffrey Wever states that he is not acting alone; these decisions are made by the entire government. It is true that there is an ongoing discussion about the autonomy of the Country of Aruba, but according to Minister Wever, the current concept on the table is less intrusive than what the LAFT entails. Nevertheless, the LAFT is a national ordinance of Aruba, while HOFA is a Kingdom law — two entirely different things. However, Minister Geoffrey Wever believes that HOFA will be better for Aruba.
