On Friday, Centro di Bario Noord celebrated a very special moment with the showcase of the Let’s Act Aruba program, marking the end of its first 2025–2026 period. The event served as an opportunity to exhibit the community’s talent, creativity, and cultural expression, where participants shared the fruits of several months of hard work, learning, dedication, and enthusiasm with the public.
During the showcase, various artistic disciplines were presented on stage, giving the audience a glimpse into the diverse talent thriving within our community. Among the performances were demonstrations from folk dance, cuarta, and photography classes, each representing an important part of the creative and cultural process fostered by the Let’s Act program.
The folk dance workshop was facilitated by Mr. Erwin Croes, the cuarta workshop by Mr. Aaron Giel, and the photography workshop by Mr. Ayrton Tromp.
One of the night’s highlights was the preview screening of the music video “Noord, Nos Dushi Bario!” (Noord, Our Lovely Neighborhood). This project puts Noord, its community, culture, and local talent in the spotlight, showing the beauty and identity of the neighborhood from a creative perspective. The preview gave the audience a first look at the work accomplished and built anticipation for the next phase of the project.
Although the first period of Let’s Act is coming to a close, the program itself does not end here. The initiative will continue into the next period, 2027–2028, with the goal of ultimately presenting the final version of the project.
For the program, each discipline represented not only an artistic activity, but also an opportunity to learn, collaborate, experiment, and discover talent. Let’s Act continues, and the upcoming period will bring more opportunities to foster talent, creativity, and cultural expression. During the 2027–2028 period, the “Noord, Nos Dushi Bario!” project will reach its culmination with its final release, building upon the foundation established in the first period.
Centro di Bario Noord extends its gratitude to Cede Aruba and Bario Unico for their support and contribution to the Let’s Act Aruba project. Thanks to their collaboration and backing, the program provided community members with a space to explore and develop their talents while contributing to the preservation and celebration of our culture.
The presentation was also a tribute to everyone involved in the journey: participants, instructors, artists, collaborators, families, and all who contributed to the process.
Thank you to everyone who took part in this journey and made the first period of Let’s Act such a special experience. Let’s Act continues and there is still so much more talent, creativity, and story to share.
