In a recent parliamentary session, members of the PPA faction questioned the Minister of Tourism and Public Health regarding the delegation of waste management to private companies. The controversy centers on the contract with the company “SERLIMAR,” which was assigned by the government to manage waste in the Seroe Tijshi area.
According to Eduard Pieter of the PPA, the assignment of this contract occurred in a manner that raises many questions, arguing that the process lacks transparency and shows signs of a conflict of interest. It is alleged that the company has received monthly payments of 6 million florins without a clear plan to justify these expenses, especially when there are alternatives and proposals.
The parliamentary faction demanded clear answers and accountability from the competent authorities, questioning the lack of rigor in the liquidation process and the management of public funds allocated to this project.
The PPA faction regrets that a state-owned company is being left to die in order to privilege private companies with the people’s money.
