Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) has shared
preliminary tourism data for December 2025, revealing that Bonaire received 19,540
stayover visitors. This represents a 1.9% increase compared to December 2024,
when 19,170 visitors arrived.
Visitors from the Netherlands formed the largest group, accounting for 43.9% of total
arrivals, with 8,553 visitors. US visitors were the second-largest group, accounting
for 31.9% of arrivals and 6,228 visitors.
A total of 1,545 (7.9%) visitors from Curaçao visited the island, followed by Canada
with 848 (4.3%) visitors, Germany with 273 (1.4%) visitors, Aruba with 246 (1.3%)
visitors, Belgium with 213 (1.1%) visitors, Colombia with 170 (0.9%) visitors, Brazil
with 128 (0.7%) visitors, UK with 119 (0.6%) visitors, and Switzerland with 113
(0.6%) visitors.
US visitors mainly traveled with a partner, followed by alone. Most came for vacation
(56%), diving (31.6%), and visiting friends and family (4.2%). The majority stayed at
a hotel (48.6%), a villa (15.4%), an apartment (9.8%), their own property (7.2%), or
with a relative (5%). US visitors primarily came from New York, Florida, California,
Texas, and North Carolina. The age distribution showed that travelers aged 45-54
accounted for 20.3% of visitors, while those aged 55-64 accounted for 19.8%.
Dutch visitors were mainly solo travelers, followed by those traveling with a partner.
Most visitors came for vacation (72%), visited friends and family (12%), and for
business (3.4%). Most visitors stayed at a hotel (45.2%), followed by an apartment
(14.8%), at a relative (11.6%), a villa (8.3%), and their own property (6.3%). Most
Dutch visitors came from North Holland, South Holland, Gelderland, North Brabant,
and Utrecht, with the 55-64 age group (19.3%) and the 45-54 age group (16.9%)
being the largest segments.
