Member of Parliament Jennifer Arends-Reyes attended the annual AHATA Excellence Awards 2025 ceremony — an event dedicated to honoring and recognizing outstanding achievements within Aruba’s tourism sector.
During an evening filled with emotion, joy, and gratitude, 38 winners from various tourism-related positions were awarded for their commitment, dedication, and passion for the island and its sustainable development.
“Pride and happiness were present at every table,” said Arends-Reyes. “Every winner, nominee, and their family should be very proud. They are the human engine behind our island’s main economic pillar — tourism — and deserve full recognition for their continuous efforts to deliver excellent service to our visitors.”
Arends-Reyes emphasized that this award ceremony serves as an important reminder of how essential it is to value and encourage tourism employees, as they are Aruba’s ambassadors in every moment, every interaction with a visitor, and every smile they share.
As Chair of the Tourism Committee within Aruba’s Parliament, Arends-Reyes also expressed her appreciation to AHATA, its CEO, and all partners who made it possible to create a truly unforgettable evening — one that not only celebrates individual achievements but also strengthens the unity of a sector vital to the island’s economy.
“A big congratulations goes out to all nominees and winners of the AHATA Excellence Awards 2025,” Arends-Reyes added. “Your dedication and excellent service are recognized and deeply appreciated. Aruba is proud of you.”
