Arrest for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol On Friday, June 19, at approximately 2:50 AM, a 21-year-old female with the initials J.E.D.D. was arrested on Kaya Amsterdam for driving under the influence of alcohol. The suspect’s vehicle was pulled over due to erratic driving behavior and a missing taillight. During the stop, a breathalyzer test was administered, revealing that her blood alcohol content exceeded the legal limit. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the police station for further processing. She received a 4-hour driving ban and will face formal charges.
Vehicle Fire On Thursday, June 18, at around 9:15 PM, the central dispatch received a report of a vehicle fire in the yard of a residence in Tanki Matrimonio. Upon the arrival of the police and fire department, the fire was found to be concentrated at the front of the vehicle near the battery. The fire department extinguished the flames. No injuries were reported. The fire was likely caused by a short circuit.
Pedestrian Injured in Incident On Thursday, June 18, at approximately 9:00 PM, a report came in regarding an incident on Kaya Gilberto F. (Betico) Croes. It appeared that a pedestrian had stepped on an iron object on the sidewalk and was injured. The fire department’s assistance was requested to cut the object and free the victim. Ambulance personnel provided medical first aid on-site, and the victim was subsequently transported to the hospital for advanced medical treatment.
Scooter Rider Injured On Thursday, June 18, at around 6:00 PM, central dispatch received a report of an incident on Kaya Internacional. A scooter rider skidded and fell, sustaining injuries. An ambulance transported the victim to the hospital for medical treatment. A breathalyzer test was performed on the victim, showing no indication of alcohol consumption. Police temporarily directed traffic at the scene.
Multiple Arrests for Assault
Thursday, June 18: At around 6:10 PM, a 26-year-old man with the initials R.L.F. was arrested on Kaya Petra for domestic abuse after assaulting a woman.
Wednesday, June 17: At around 10:35 PM, a 37-year-old man with the initials S.V. was arrested in Bario Mexico for assault. The suspect assaulted a woman and fled with her phone.
Tuesday, June 16: At around 9:15 AM, a 47-year-old woman with the initials M.G.V.J. was arrested on Kaya Linda for aggravated assault after severely beating another woman.
All cases are currently under investigation.
Scheduled Traffic Controls During the morning hours of Thursday, June 18, police trainees along with their field instructors conducted a scheduled traffic control checkpoint on Bulevar Julio A. Abraham. Fifteen (15) vehicles were stopped and inspected, resulting in two fines. Both citations were issued for driving without a valid driver’s license.

Arrest Following a Commercial Burglary On Thursday, June 18, at approximately 3:15 AM, central dispatch was alerted to a burglary at a car rental company on Kaya Industria. Following a swift investigation, officers arrested a 16-year-old male minor with the initials R.A.W. at around 3:25 AM on Bulevar Julio A. Abraham. The suspect matched the description provided during the initial burglary report. The investigation into this case is ongoing.
Arrest After Police Pursuit On Wednesday, June 17, at around 9:00 PM, a patrol unit spotted a scooter on Hanchi Amboina being operated by a rider without a helmet. Officers initiated a pursuit and noted that the scooter had no lights on and lacked a license plate.
Due to these violations, the officers activated their emergency lights and sirens to signal the rider to pull over for a inspection. The rider ignored the commands and continued to flee. The patrol pursued the scooter through several streets, repeatedly ordering the rider to stop. The patrol unit eventually managed to block the scooter’s path.
The rider failed to identify himself and repeatedly provided a false name. At around 9:10 PM, the suspect—a 15-year-old male minor with the initials D.F.M.V.—was arrested for failing to comply with police orders. The scooter was confiscated, and he will face charges for all committed infractions.
Theft of Tools from Residential Yard On Tuesday, June 16, at approximately 12:15 PM, central dispatch received a notification regarding two individuals, both dressed in black with covered faces, who had just jumped over a residential fence on Kaya Venus in Belnem. Both suspects were carrying toolboxes and fled into the bushes. Further investigation revealed that the suspects had entered the yard and stolen toolboxes from an unlocked room. Following a search of the surrounding brush, officers successfully recovered the toolboxes stolen moments prior.
