The community responded to the call from Movimiento Kousa Prome, and citizens attended a protest meeting regarding development practices affecting neighborhoods, coastal areas, and beaches in Curaçao. Together with experts and affected citizens, the goals of the evening were met: sharing knowledge, information, and experiences, and establishing a clear position.

Speakers at the event included expert Lionell Janga, Persey Ignacio from Save Zakito, Maroushka Manuel, and Helene Mathew, who shared experiences from their neighborhoods about how residents are negatively impacted by large-scale development projects. Ellen Maduro-Jeandor, representative of Movimiento Kousa Prome, spoke about the unbalanced approach that favors large investors while the people are expected to be content with just a glimpse or nothing at all.

After the presentations, the audience asked questions and deliberations were held. In the final part of the meeting, Plan 10 was introduced: ten action points to bring change to government development practices. The plan prioritizes the people of Curaçao in development, considers future generations, fights corruption and sanctions corrupt individuals, and protects community land to prevent Curaçao from becoming a territory-less nation.

With the participation, contributions, and approval of the audience, Plan 10 has been finalized and will be presented to the government, parliament, and the people of Curaçao.
