Statement by minister jetten and Gedeputeerde Thielman (Bonaire)

Robjetten Hennysonthielman

The impact of climate change on the island is clear. It is clear to us that urgent action must be taken to protect the inhabitants of Bonaire from the effects of climate change. We are currently taking good steps forward with concrete projects in implementation for more renewable and affordable energy in line with the Bonaire Climate Action Plan to make the island sustainable and resilient against the effects of climate change. The Netherlands and Bonaire have joined forces to set ambitions for Bonaire to set an example for sustainable climate action on the islands. Say we pack two meals with urgent op, put a joint in a brede aanpak in line with the advice of quartermaker Nijpels.
