As part of Team Aruba from the Aruban Olympic Committee, Ocean van Loon has already arrived in Panama together with the first group of swimmers from the Aruba Aquatics Federation, where they have trained and prepared for the competition that begins on Thursday, April 16.
An Athlete with Leadership and Pride
Ocean van Loon is not only going to compete, but he was also chosen as the male flag bearer for Team Aruba, alongside fellow swimmer Xia Rodriguez. This is certainly a great honor for us at Stingray Swimming Team, as Ocean represents dedication, discipline, and the impact he has as an athlete and role model for other youths.
During the Opening Ceremony, Stingray Swimming Team marked a special moment where Ocean carried the flag of Aruba with pride in front of an international audience.
Ready for the Challenge
In Panama, Ocean will compete in several events including:
50m, 100m, and 200m Backstroke
50m Freestyle
50m and 200m Butterfly
2 mixed relays
Stingray Swimming Team has total confidence that Ocean will continue to put Aruba on the international map in swimming.
Team Aruba is Ready
Aruba’s swimming team includes young talent such as Eva-Marie Kock, Gabriella Hermans, Xia Rodriguez, Luis-Mario Arends, and Jayrick Winterdal, along with coach Tyrine de Kort. Together they represent Aruba with a single goal: to give their maximum effort and reach “ANOTHER LEVEL.”
