Aerolíneas Argentinas has announced the extension of its operations to Aruba, from January through April of next year. Flights from Buenos Aires and Córdoba will continue, reflecting the high demand recorded for Aerolíneas Argentinas’ newest Caribbean destination.

The extended operation will maintain the same schedule as originally announced: three weekly flights connecting Buenos Aires, Aruba and Córdoba, with return flights to Buenos Aires on Mondays, Saturdays and Sundays. There will also be a weekly round-trip flight between Córdoba and Aruba on Thursdays. Additionally, in January and February, a weekly flight will operate to and from Mendoza.

With this expansion, Aerolíneas Argentinas continues to strengthen its international connectivity for the coming months, extending service on high-demand routes beyond the summer season.

Higher quality
Tourists from Argentina are generally known to spend more during their vacations in Aruba. They stay longer and spend more on shopping, food and beverages, hotels, and more.
“The Argentine market has grown significantly on Aruba recently, and since August, they dominate the Latin American segment, surpassing Colombia. One of the main reasons people choose Aruba—besides our crystal-clear beaches—is our safety. Our goal is to continue growing this market in the coming year,” emphasized Minister Wendrick Cicilia, Minister of Tourism, Labor and Transport.

Minister Cicilia’s visit to Bogotá is yielding results. It was the first time in 10 years that a Minister of Tourism — together with AAA and A.T.A. — met with all key partners representing the Latin American market. This demonstrates the strong commitment of Minister Cicilia to strengthen Aruba’s ties throughout the region.

The Minister of Tourism’s vision is to continue diversifying Aruba’s tourism markets, ensuring the island remains resilient, competitive, and connected to new global opportunities.

The Ministry of Tourism, the Aruba Tourism Authority, and the Aruba Airport Authority worked closely together — supported by the Department of Civil Aviation — to attract this airline to the island.

Aruba Airport continues to grow
For Aruba Airport Authority NV, this means that approximately 30 airlines now connect with Aruba.
“This new direct route between Argentina and Aruba will undoubtedly enhance connectivity with the region’s most important Latin American market and strengthen bilateral tourism relations. Aruba is very pleased with the current plans,” said Jo-Anne Arends, Business Development Executive at Aruba Airport Authority.

With these new destinations, Arubans now also have more vacation options, with direct flights to various cities in Argentina.

Extension announced even before the start!
Before the inaugural flight in January 2026, the airline had already announced that it would extend its initial two-month operation to the first four months of the year. This is based on the strong demand observed for Aruba.

“Aerolíneas Argentinas has shown sustained commitment to Aruba by maintaining — and even expanding — its operations, reflecting excellent results. Extending service through April not only highlights strong demand but also shows that passengers value a sustainable, high-quality tourism vision that benefits both countries. Good connectivity is not a technical detail; it is the heart of tourism development and a key tool to link cultures and strengthen economies,” said Ronella Croes, CEO of Aruba Tourism Authority.
